DFD, Book 2, Lesson 3, Question 6
Published date: 04-12-11What attitudes can you have in coming to God?
Psalm 27:8 – An attitude of focus and intentionality, where I tell myself that I will seek God.
Psalm 46:10 – An attitude of stillness, where I quiet myself before God and turn down the noise that is in and around me.
Psalm 63:1 – An attitude of longing, thirsting and hungering for God, where I show a willingness and a desire to be with him.
The diagram on the page is a reminder of numerous important truths: 1. God communicates with me primarily through his Word, and I communicate to God through prayer. 2. It is the Holy Spirit who helps me understand the Word of God. 3. It is the Holy Spirit who helps me come to God in prayer. 4. All of my life is centered on Jesus Christ, and what he did for me on the Cross.
