PURPOSE AND AIM

Nursery school may be your child’s first experience away from home and it can be an exciting one. We will make this transition from home to school a happy time through careful planning.

It it our purpose to encourage the educational, physical, social, emotional and spiritual growth of pre-school children. Because children thrive on routine, we plan the program around a structured schedule. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, your child will grow to enjoy their nursery school experience with friends and teachers who care.

At this age, children need a stimulating environment that will aid in developing their potential. They need positive experiences that will help develop a positive self-concept. We work with the parents to expose the children to many different experiences so that they can draw on these in the future. We integrate a Christian view of God and the world into your child’s learning experiences.

We want to create a feeling of security and friendship in an environment where Christian ideas are expressed or felt and love and interest are the principle concerns.

EDUCATIONAL

• All staff are state-approved
• Kindergarten Readiness: freeplay, circle time, computer time, arts and crafts, gym and playscape, Bible Story, Show and Tell, Snack, Music and Movement

SPIRITUAL

• Bible stories that involve creation, the birth of Jesus Christ and his resurrection
• Prayer Time
• Teaching values

SOCIAL

• Develop self-control through interaction with other children
• Building self-esteem through acceptance of each child as an individual and valuing his or her strengths
• Providing field trips to enrich your child’s experience
